So here is an interesting story.......a year ago my two year old was walking behind me with her binky in her mouth. It was past her bed time, she was very tired. We all know how little ones get when they are tired.....CLUMSY!!! She fell and just started crying like I had never heard her cry. Blood just started gushing from her mouth. Of course she would not let us look at it to see the extent of the damage. We assumed that she had cut her lip.
The next day I put her down for a nap, when she awoke she had blood around her binky I knew I needed to see what was going on in there. So I tricked her with a flash light and some silly game to look in her mouth. To my absolute horror one of her front teeth appeared to be missing. I FREAKED !!! I called the dentist I didn't know what to think. Our dentist in town wouldn't even try to look at her. He simply gave us numbers of pediatric dentists in our general area.
Apparently they are very hard to get into, but I am very persuasive when it comes to my children. We went to the pediatric dentist which was horrible in itself. He made me hold her on my lap facing me and lay her backwards into his lap. She was terrified not only was a stranger holding her down but she just had a trama to her mouth the day before. He brushed a little on the teeth around the "missing one" He said he thought he saw a little pus where the tooth had been but when he tried to wipe it away. Low and behold it was her tooth. It had been pushed up inside her gums. I cried. I couldn't imagine the pain that was involved in that. He told us that it was very common , but normally when it happened it was both front teeth not just one. So the course of action was motrin for pain and an antibiotic so that it didn't get infected. He said that it would either come back down on its own or it would need to be removed. Thankfully a year later and a couple appts later it has come back down to almost its original position. Can you believe that??? I didn't even know that was possible. He said when she is 3 or so he might do xrays to check on the adult tooth above the injured one to see if there was any damage to it. Kids are certainly resilient.

Roseola??
Our youngest just got over Roseola....What the heck, I had never even heard of it before. It started with a fever of 102.7 . She will be a year old next month and had never had an elevated fever before. She seemed fine though she was eating and drinking. She was a little fussy but I just boiled it down to teething. Well two days went by and she just didn't feel well. I took her to her doctor . The doctor looked in her throat and saw little blisters, which would explain the fussiness. The doc said no medicine was needed it would go away in a few days but before it would go a way she would develop a rash. "No big deal, a little rash"
LITTLE???? My daughter woke up the next morning absolutely covered in a red prickly rash..... It was even on her face. Not to mention she was itchy and making it worse. I called the doctor and she said still no medicine was needed but I could giver her benadryl If I wanted. I did give it to her I also put hydrocortisone 1% on it. That seemed to help alot. So all together it was 3 days of a low to high fever, and blisters in her throat. Then 3 days of the horribly ugly rash. All six days of being very sleepy. I am happy to say though today she is completely back to normal.

Introduction
I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rainey. I live in a little town in Pennsylvania. I've lived here my whole life. I traveled a little but have always found that coming home was what I liked the best.
I have a wonderful husband who was actually my high school sweetheart. We went our separate ways for about six years but then came back together. We now have two little crazy girls who are the center of our lives. I am a transportation dispatcher, I have been for about 8 years but due to the economy I am laid off part time like most of the world. So I am getting a taste of what it would be like to be a stay at home mom. I definitely give much respect to those who are because it is tough. The more and more I think about it, though, I wish I could afford to stay home with my girls because it is the most important job I have ever had. It makes me feel like I actually matter. I have searched for ways to work at home but like most have been ripped off, monetarily that is, several times. So for now I will work part time and pray that I figure out a way to make it all work out for me and my family.
